Beverly Liu was a very shy girl who found her voice in dancing. She began studying dance in 1995, taking jazz, modern, and ballet as well as some Wu-Shu style Kung Fu. After high school, being encouraged by her dance teachers, she continued to refine her skills, finding her strong suit in modern dance due to her ability to translate the emotional quality of the music.

Beverly began her Belly Dance odyssey in the summer of 2000, when she began studying under Shoshanna, while attending Humboldt State University where she studied fine arts, music, and dancing. Through Shoshanna,Beverly performed in Shoshanna’s 2003 production of “One Thousand and One Nights”, as well as having solo performances at the Humboldt County Fair and the North County Fair.

In 2006, a year after graduating college with a Bachelor in Fine Arts, Beverly wanted to study under world renowned belly dancers on the East Coast, before having to move back to the West Coast. She came to New York City to study under: Kaeshi Chai and Nourhan Sharif. Beverly has had the chance to take courses with other national and internationally renowned teachers such as: Jillina, Tamalyn Dallal, Suhaila, Elisheva, Anasma, Zaphira of PA, Unmata, and so many others while in NYC. Through her journey she has matured her theatrical flair and furthered her understanding of musicality regarding the complexity Middle Eastern Music. Beverly continues furthering her dance skills by seeking out Egyptian Style dance teachers from Classical Egyptian to Folkloric to Egyptian Pop.

In 2008 Beverly began professionally dancing at restaurants, private parties: from birthdays to weddings, and conducting shimmy parties for bridal showers and princess parties.
